Nude Spa || Bad Aibling, Germany
Just the other day we were reminiscing about this amazing nude spa that we went to in Germany and would love to go back to. This is strictly a spa and sex of any kind is not allowed, but it’s also a coed nude spa which for us deprived Americans is always a treat. It’s a very affordable, sprawling couple acres of pools in every temperature, unique and beautifully decorated steam rooms, a sauna in a floating boat, and more. If you’re looking for a relaxing and recharging, yet sexy Bavarian adventure this is for you.
Therme Bad Aibling is located in, you guessed it, the town of Bad Aibling, Germany. Located southeast of Munich; it’s about a 45 minute drive or a little over an hour by train + walking which is what we did. The walk was an easy ten minutes from the train station to the spa and it was nice to walk through suburban German neighborhoods for ambiance. The town itself is very cute to walk through and the small downtown had a nice cafe where we had a glass of wine while we waited for our train. Taking trains in Germany is very easy and economical. The one counterintuitive thing is that Germany is known for always having late trains, so make sure you give yourself some cushion.
The spa was easy to locate and staff was friendly, however, they spoke very limited English since it’s not in a large city so come prepared with Google translate or some preparation. Swimsuits are required in the Spa section. You can also bring your own towel and bathrobe but since we’re tourists we just paid the 11 € each to rent. Also recommend bringing flip-flops, a water bottle, and any grooming items if you want to freshen up. We highly suggest entering from the Sauna side because the changing rooms are coed which is a little fun (again… we’re Americans). The Spa locker room, to be fair, was a very European experience with cool changing rooms that have impressive locking mechanisms (we’re easily amused by foreign engineering).
I’m not going to bury the lead… we preferred the Sauna side and if we ever went back we wouldn’t spend time or money on the Spa side, but for 5 € each it was worth it for the full experience. The Spa was very pleasant and clean with some really impressive architecture, however, we didn’t realize it’s the swimsuit-required, family-friendly side and more like heated pools with pretty decorations versus nude saunas. We spent an hour awkwardly hanging out in pools with families and wondering how and where the naked adults-only areas were that we saw online. Once we crossed the turn-style threshold, we discovered that we originally entered on the wrong side and the Sauna was our colorful Oz.
Sadly but appropriately, phones aren’t allowed in the nude areas so we don’t have pictures. The only way to describe it was it felt like a very modern, European style aquatic center but with several rooms for different sauna experiences. Every room had very unique and extremely talented decor. In the middle of the room was an indoor/outdoor heated pool, where you could walk through a doorway from the inside to the outdoors, upstairs lounge area with glass walls and ceiling to let the sunshine in, outdoor cold plunge pool, walkways to lounge areas or exterior saunas, and a dining area with snacks and drinks (for purchase).
Some of our favorite rooms:
- Rose Quartz: low humidity and high visibility, the walls were made of rose colored stones and it had rose scented aromatherapy. I went in this room by myself and there were three incredibly hot women; two laying flat on their stomachs with their backs and asses exposed and one woman was sitting with very hot tits. All glistening with condensation and toned in only the way a sauna can do. My jaw dropped and my pussy got wet, and all I could think about was that I was on the set of an art film about a Roman spa. I ran out to find Dax to tell him that he was missing out. By the time we got back they were starting to leave, but then I got to see Dax’s sexy naked body glowing against warm rose colored stones and I was equally as excited
- Boat Sauna: it’s a dry sauna, in a literal boat, that’s floating on the water (tethered). The room had windows with a lot of sunlight. Less sultry and more silly but still a fun experience
- Log Cabin Sauna: there was an exterior building that was built in the style of a literal log cabin. Inside were two separate saunas, but the cooler one was a real log burning fire to heat the room. An attendant kept stopping by and adding logs to the fire. It was so relaxing and added a mountain-getaway ambiance, especially fun since we were there in winter
- Moor: This was so fun. It’s a special room within the Sauna that’s only available if you’re doing the Moor treatment. We were the only English speakers in our group, and the attendant was really nice and tried to translate (and another group member helped). I don’t remember details of the type or origin of the moor that we used, but we were all standing around naked while he explained the health benefits. We were then all handed a bowl of moor (clumpy earthy mud), and filed into an interior room with individual seats carved into the room of stone. We then rubbed it all over ourselves, and each other, and Dax offered to help the woman next to us and she accepted. Then we sat in a humid hot room letting it soak in. It was hot, slimy, sexy, and relaxing all in one. Then suddenly overhead showers turned on and we all rinsed off together in the middle of the room and departed. The Moor is by appointment only and does cost extra, so when you arrive in the Sauna, find an attendant and book an appointment
Overall this was a really fun getaway from being a tourist in big bustling cities. It was a relaxing break in a busy trip, fun to be with locals in a small suburb, sexy to be in a coed nude spa which we don’t often get in the US, and gratifying to reconnect with each other while relaxing and recharging. I personally loved going in the winter, because the interior was so warm and steamy but relaxing outside was crisp and refreshing. If you ever find yourself near Munich, it’s definitely worth the trip.
